Chef Mike started his culinary story in Northern European kitchens, and returned to his true passion via several decades of farming, ranching and guiding international hunters across the globe, all the while keeping his knives sharp and his culinary
skills honed and serving up
wild game specialties for his clients.
Most recently, Chef Mike discovered his love for cheesemaking, and became a prolific cheesemaker, perfecting his craft on a
cross-country tour of Canada
(East to West) and stopping
at organic dairy farms along the way for
pop-up cheese-making sessions.
He still holds cheese making workshops
every now and then.
Once he arrived in BC,
he and his partner Patty
started a series of much-loved
cheesemaking workshops
as well as a thriving roadhouse.
Now back in Ontario,
Chef Mike is crisscrossing
North and South America from
stunning location to stunning location,
serving up unique "one off" culinary dining & show experiences.

You never know!
....I forgot to mention that the meal was spectacular! Especially the haggis, home made by Chef Michael, (Mr. Gasthaus himself). I told him, and I meant it sincerely, it was amongst the best haggis I have ever tasted, even better than that of Chef John Higgins who was the personal chef to The Queen Mother for years.
